Hello!
I am really glad to have found your blog, everyday I find new and interesting posts. I was recently accepted into a MLS program and will be starting at the end of August.
I am very excited, but am questioning what my wardrobe should be for classes. Currently I work in the Tech Services/ Circ departments of an academic library and we are allowed to wear jeans, but wasn’t sure this would make a good impression on my classmates and instructors.
I would be very grateful for any advice,
Thanks!
I’ve found that in most of my classes, everyone pretty much dresses casually. Every now and then, a professor will ask us to do a presentation and will specifically ask us to dress professionally. That’s just for practice purposes. Another good resource to look at is librarian wardrobe, which gives you a good idea of what other librarians wear to work.
